How They Work

Students, housestaff, and alumni must first register for the Penn Medicine Alumni Mentorship+ Program to participate in the Mentorship+ Community Channels. Users don’t need to be matched with a Mentor or Mentee in order to access the Communities feature. 

After completing the registration process, navigate to your Mentorship+ dashboard and select “Communities” from the menu on the left side of the page. From there, select from the list of communities available. 

  • Users can create their own discussion posts or respond to others. 
  • Users can also see the other members of the community and contact them directly through private messaging.
  • Adjust notification settings within the Community by clicking on “Notification Settings” at the top right-hand corner; click “Update Settings” to save changes.
