Definition of Mentorship

Mentorship is a connection between two or more people who focus on career growth and development for a determined amount of time. A Mentor is expected to share their time and knowledge, offer valuable ideas and advice based on their real-world experiences, listen carefully and ask open-ended questions, which assists their Mentee in thinking about their Penn Medicine direction.

Definition of a Mentor

Penn Medicine Alumni Mentors are graduates of the Perelman School of Medicine or former Penn Medicine trainees who are passionate about sharing their knowledge and resources with recent graduates, trainees, and current students. Volunteering as a Mentor is a great way to make an impact and to stay connected with the Penn Medicine community.
